We are very excited to announce that Vibeke Bryld’s VR experience ‘Hush’ (Danish title: ‘Havfolket Kalder Mørknet Vand’) will open as an installation at Vorupør Museum in Thy, Northern Jutland, on Saturday May 22, 2021. The exhibition will run until August 22.
Vorupør Museum is located in the same town, and on the same beach, that features prominently in the VR piece, so we are very happy that ‘Hush’ is coming home!
‘Hush’ was exhibited as an installation for two months at Nikolaj Art Centre in Copenhagen in 2020, and the exhibition in Vorupør will use some of the same elements, but will also be a site-specific installation, shaped by the building it will inhabit.
Due to the current and ongoing covid-19 pandemic, measures will be taken to ensure a safe VR experience, including nano-cleansing of the headset between each user.
