Mahdi' Fleifel's poweful short film A Drowning Man took home the Grand Prix for Best International Short at the 62nd Cork Film Festival, held November 10-19 2017.
Since the Cork Film Festival is an Oscar® qualifying film festival the win allows A Drowning Man to join the longlist for the 91st Academy Awards in the Live Action Short Film category in 2019.
