On 26 November, Final Cut for Real is taking part in a special event focusing on children's documentaries as part of the additional programme for this year's IDFA festival.
The event highlights Sport Kids, a six part series for children co-produced by Final Cut for Real's Monica Hellström and featuring The Fencing Champion by Simon Lereng Wilmont. The high-end documentary films focuses on six kids, six sports, six countries, and six dreams. Through a child's perspective, each film tells exciting, dramatic and engaging real life stories from the world of sport with all the challenges it may bring.
The event will subsequently focus on the future of children's documentaries, particularly the challenges of co-production and distribution of documentaries for young audiences.
