We are very proud to announce that The Distant Barking of Dogs won the Dragon Award at Göteborg Film Festival 2018 for Best Nordic Dox. Simon Lereng Wilmont's film is produced by Monica Hellström, with Signe Byrge Sørensen as executive producer, at Final Cut for Real.
The jury referred to the film as combining relevance and timelessness in strong filmic images. Full statement ins sweetish below:
"Priset går till en film som kombinerar relevans och tidlöshet genom starka filmbilder. Hopp och ömhet i en hopplös situation. En historia om att uppfostra ett barn och vara ett barn."
Thar Summer, a Final Cut co-production, was also nominated in the Nordic Documentary Competition at Göteborg.
