Carl Olsson's latest film Meanwhile on Earth will premiere at INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ROTTERDAM 2020. 'Meanwhile on Earth' is a film about life surrounding death. Constructed as a collage of scenes and situations – each a tableau, in Carl Olsson's distinct style – the film investigates the human relationship with death in our society, based on the people that have made death part of their everyday lives.
The film is produced by De Andra Film, in co-production with Final Cut for Real, Allfilm, Film i Skåne and SVT. It is supported by the Swedish Film Institute, Estonian Film Institute, Cultural Endowment of Estonia, FilmregionSydost, Swedish Danish Fund for Culture, Swedish Church Cultural Grant, Filmcentrum Syd and BoostHBG.
